NBC Bird and Pest Solutions have been working in with Africa Alive, a zoo near Lowestoft Norfolk, to displaying an array of magnificent birds creating an unforgettable experience for visitors to the zoo.

Usually the Norfolk team fly birds of prey as bird deterrents in the Norwich and Ipswich areas to scare off nuisance birds such as gulls and pigeons. However the Norfolk and Suffolk bird and pest control team also have been working with Africa Alive, a zoo near Lowestoft Norfolk, displaying an array of magnificent birds creating an unforgettable experience for visitors to the zoo.

Simon Collins and Alec Shearer of NBC Bird and Pest Solutions Norwich Branch is entertaining the crowds of Africa Alive for his third year running. With help from Jester the European Eagle, Vomit the Vulture, Hazel the Harris Hawk, Dick and Dom the Lanner falcon duo, Lightening the Peregrine Falcon and Twilight the Barn owl creating a spectacular performance not to be missed.

Simon puts the birds through their paces, demonstrating their unique skills and flying the birds as well as involving the children making it educational as well as fun.

During the shows, Alec gives three children from the audience an experience, They are each given a dummy bunny which they run as fast as they can. While they are running Simon flies Hazel the Harris Hawk who soars through the sky and swoops down onto one of the dummy bunnies taking the bunny with him up into the air.

The falconry display continues to be a great success with visitors  with displays run twice daily during all of the school holidays spring through to summer.
